K-Style

  • Most common
  • Looks more like crown moulding than a “K”
  • Handles twice as much water as Half-Round
  • Installed with rectangular downspouts or rain chains

Half-Round

  • Features a semicircular trough with a curved lip
  • Installed with round downspouts or rain chains
  • Can be installed with exterior or hidden hangers

Box

  • Features a deep, rectangular shape with clean lines
  • Holds significantly more water than K-Style or Half-Round
  • Ideally suited for large commercial roofs or flat-roof homes

  • Best for: Small homes and single-story houses with modest roof areas.

6"

  • Best for: Standard to large residential homes and steeper roofs.
  • Flow about 40% more water than 5"

7"

  • Best for: Very large homes, commercial buildings, or complex roof lines.

8"

  • Best for: Commercial buildings, industrial properties, and huge estates.

Downspouts are vital parts of the gutter system.  Things to consider when selecting downspout size are: area to be drained, gutter system design, roof shape, pitch and design, gutter style, size and outlet capacity.  Our professionals have the experience to recommend the best solution.  Below are the most common sizes but if you need something else, let us know!

  • Most common
  • Affordable
  • Proper drainage for 5″ gutters

3"x4"

  • Can be used with either 5″ or 6″ gutters
  • Easily filters out debris
  • Can solve and prevent many overflow issues

4"x5"

  • Mainly used at commercial properties
  • Often paired with 7" gutters

  • Looks best with half-round gutters
